Role Overview: As a Payroll and Benefits Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing and benefits administration for employees in Canada and the U.S. You'll collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure compliance with regulations, maintain records, and support reporting and reconciliation efforts. Key Responsibilities: Process bi-weekly payroll for Canadian and U.S. employees with accuracy and efficiency.Manage payroll reconciliations, including year-end T4s, RL1s, W2s, and related government reporting.Administer group insurance and employee benefits programs in Canada and the U.S., ensuring accuracy and compliance.Maintain and update payroll and benefits records in the HRM system, adhering to company policies.Generate payroll-related reports, such as salary/bonus reconciliations, headcount, and turnover metrics.Respond to employee payroll and benefits inquiries professionally and confidentially.Assist in special projects, audits, and ad hoc reporting related to payroll and benefits.Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to streamline processes and improve accuracy.Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, HR, or a related field (preferred).2-5 years of experience in payroll and benefits administration, including Canadian and U.S. payroll systems.Proficiency in payroll software such as ADP Workforce Now (preferred) and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Strong knowledge of payroll compliance regulations, benefits administration, and year-end reporting processes.Exceptional organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with employees and teams.Bilingual proficiency (spoken) is a plus.Ability to prioritize tasks, solve problems independently, and work in a dynamic environment.Can support a work-from-home set-upAmendable to work on Graveyard shiftsWhy we think this job is a great opportunity: Work-Life balance: enjoy the flexibility of a full-time, 100% remote position.Join a supportive culture that provides the resources you need to excel and deliver results.Training and professional development.
