Job Description
Willing to work in other areas of the hospital, if requiredUnder supervision, performs the following. Proper endorsement of outgoing to incoming duty every shift, never leave the area without a reliever.Maintain the cleanliness of the Nursing Unit every shift. Dust tables, cabinets, blinds and other equipment including mopping the floor as needed.Collect empty vials, used syringes, and soiled gloves and brings to one CSR one hour before the end of the shiftTransports patient from ER to their respective room; brings the patient to X-tray, ultrasound, or other unit for any procedure to be donePreform Basic Nursing Procedure such as lifting, turning a changing the linen of bedridden patients, etc.Bring request/specimen to laboratory with the corresponding request notebookChecks the numbers of oxygen tank and oxygen gauge to be ready for every patients use; replacement of empty tank with full tankPerforms functions designated by staff nursesChecks all equipment and ensures that they are functioningSee to it that all beds are completed with linen and pillowsTidy beds and beside tables, cabinets and beside chairsAssist in changing linen of patientsAttend morning rounds with the ward nursesAssist in giving baths to ambulatory patientsServes drinking water and nourishments to patientsHelp feed patients who cannot eat by themselves, Answer patient's calls and delivers messagesScrubs bedpans, urinals, kidney basins and Kelly padsRemoves all used or discontinued equipment from patient areas and cleans and returns them to the stock room/ CXSRSecures oxygen gauges, suction apparatus and other equipment needed in the unitBrings the charts of the patients to any department for signature prior to discharge and clearance
Qualification
Vocational or college level of Medical Science or equivalentPhysically and Mentally fit to workAt least 1yr working experience in the same filedCan handle pressure and confident informationTrustworthy, detail-oriented and self-motivated
