What can you expect in an IT Director, Software Development role with TaskUs: The IT Director, Product Management at TaskUs will increase company value and performance through the design and management of an innovation roadmap for various software product lines. Product lines are focused on internal innovation and client value, are branded by our world-class employee culture, and automate key business accelerators. You will start your journey by taking responsibility for working with internal stakeholders and client-facing leaders to manage and prioritize features for one of our key global software platforms using your unique blend of broad technical knowledge with business savvy. You will help developers and analysts on our teams to synthesize business and client needs, create a holistic roadmap, lead small rapid prototyping, and advise all our delivery teams on the path to production operations for features and new solutions. Your efforts will combine an entrepreneurial mindset, a drive to action, experience with various digital business domains, a network of industry specialists, and deep understanding of all processes and methods in technical product development. You will help support delivery teams in the design of a future technology-enabled business at TaskUs. Your communication skills allow you to translate complex relationships and solutions into understandable strategies and effective concise presentations.
You will collaborate cross-functionally across IT, Engineering, and business teams leveraging the TaskUs cultural values to create a unified product vision and sustainable strategies for success of all teams.
Key Responsibilities: Relationship & Stakeholder Management: Manage executive business relationships globally, conduct executive product briefings with ease and influence. Utilize discipline, trust, and gravitas as a means to negotiate, direct and establish expectations and convey business conditions impacting periodic design and development. Present key strategies and command the attention of a large audience of stakeholders.Prioritization: familiarity with MOSCOW, RICE and KANO methods of scoring and prioritization with product sponsors and ability to balance the opinions of mixed cross-functional stakeholder groups.Needs and Value Assessment: user field research, stakeholder requirements and priorities, gap-fit assessments, user experience design.Product Delivery: partner with other teams providing support for scrum masters, analysts, project managers and software delivery leads and developers to ensure product commitments are appropriately negotiated and delivered as promised.Results: delivery small, quick wins often. Operate with agility. Measure and report on the business value and impact of deliverables.Communicate product status and challenges to upper management in matrixed partnership with other service delivery leadership work cross-functionally with other teams to execute features and ensure a cohesive integration across the broader organization.Continuous Improvement: define and measure performance ruthlessly, bothering the team and for our partners when needed. Identify opportunities to improve, set expectations, monitor cross-functional team dynamics to ensure the entire team is successful, review and provide feedback on roadmaps, strategic plans and feature specifications from your team.Ideation & Innovation: combine business insight, stakeholder and user feedback, product operational observations, and research to iterate in quickly creating product scope and feature ideas with the team taking input from all levels of the organization. Synthesize and develop long-term strategy, vision and priorities for products.Research: industry trend analysis, competitive analysis, market research, software vendor assessments.Strategy: establishes recurring methodology for evaluating operational, business, and market conditions and current strategy direction for the portfolio and for specific products and makes adjustments to near term and long-term roadmap plans to seize opportunities for future business value.Required Qualifications: 15 years of related business experience.12 years software development, design and product management experience.At least 10 years of leadership experience in a global business environment across multiple international work locations.Experience leading multiple product team(s) which consistently delivered quality projects on time with a broad scope and business impact.UX: You are passionate about creating intuitive, simple user experiences. You have a strong eye for usability and quality design. You are a strong partner to and advocate for design.Technical: You are comfortable working with engineering leadership to prioritize broadly and you understand technical complexities of your product areas.Analytical: You have a good grasp of experiment design, statistical analysis and multivariate testing. You can use data to set OKRs, create dashboards to monitor product health, review analyses from across the company and develop basic models. You can construct a narrative for using data in order to drive the decision-making process.Organizational skills: You are able to manage multiple teams with stakeholders across the organization. You have experience working closely with business & marketing partners.Communication: You're a strong communicator, both written and orally. You enjoy working with complex concepts and distilling them down so that anyone can understand them. You're comfortable working cross-functionally with stakeholders and can manage competing needs to drive alignment and resolution.Diplomatic: You know how to work with all different types of personalities, and can navigate tough conversations.Adaptive: You are curious, optimistic and a skilled problem-solver. You embrace the unknown and are able to adapt to shifts in priorities.
