Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for hydrological measurements & monitoring, modelling, surveying and charting river waters, including data management and data analyses.
Measure, analyse and maintain the flow and quality of water in rivers.-
- Conduct on a daily, weekly or monthly basis, depending on the needs:- Perform both field work and data analysis-
- Perform flow measurements and surveys of river bed in order to obtain hydrographic data-
- Prepares technical documentation and drawings for hydrographic survey solutions-
- Performs routine mathematical calculations and computations of measurements for surveying and charting rivers.-
- Monitor water levels and flow and if needed, meteorology, sediments and water quality-
- Collect and analyze field data using hydraulic/hydrological models and tools as well as geographic information systems (GIS) software-
- Select, install, use, calibrate, maintain and/or repair hydrographic gauges and instruments-
- Interface with technical consultants and contractors-
- Prepare and review terms of reference and scope of work for hydrology related activities-
- Willing to be assigned in Mindanao for field worksQualification Requirements:
- Education in Hydraulic Engineering / Civil Engineering, Surveying, Hydrology, Geography or a related field or degree in areas such as hydrography, geomatics and environmental science.-
- With formal qualification in water industry operations related to field work as a hydrographer/hydrologist.-
- Knowledgeable in maintaining, checking, and calibrating of field equipment and sensors-
- Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience
