Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced HR professional to support our operations in California. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HR best practices, and a proven track record of effectively managing HR functions in compliance with state regulations.
Key Responsibilities: Serve as the primary HR point of contact for employees and managers in California.Ensure compliance with California labor laws, including wage and hour laws, leave policies, and workplace safety regulations.Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding.Provide guidance and support to management on employee relations issues and conflict resolution in accordance with state-specific regulations.Stay updated on changes in California employment laws and recommend necessary policy updates.Oversee payroll processing, ensuring accurate calculations and compliance with California wage and hour laws.Administer employee benefits and leave programs in compliance with California-specific requirements (e.g., CFRA, PDL).Develop and deliver training programs on workplace compliance, diversity, and employee engagement initiatives.Collaborate with HR leadership to design and implement strategies that support business goals and foster a positive workplace culture.Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in compliance with legal requirements. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).3+ years of HR experience, with specific expertise in California labor laws and HR practices.Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in HRIS systems, payroll software, and Microsoft Office Suite.Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
