The R&D Tax Associate is responsible for assisting clients in identifying, documenting, and claiming tax credits and incentives related to their research and development activities. This role involves a combination of technical understanding, client interaction, and detailed documentation.
\n Possible Responsibilities: Work closely with clients to understand their activities and determine eligibility for R&D tax credits. Gather detailed information on projects and expenditures. Analyze client projects and expenditures to identify qualifying activities R&D. Review technical documentation, project plans, and financial records to assess eligibility. Prepare and maintain detailed documentation supporting the R&D tax credit claims. Draft detailed reports and claims for submission to tax authorities. Collaborate with other team members to ensure accuracy and completeness of claims. Assist in the development of best practices and procedures for claiming R&D tax credits. Qualifications:Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CPA) are a plus. Previous experience in tax, accounting, or a related field, preferably with a focus on R&D tax credits but not required. Ability to analyze complex technical and financial information. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client interaction and report preparation. High level of accuracy and attention to detail in documentation and analysis.
