ROLE SUMMARY Our client is looking for a Payroll and Tax Resolution Coordinator who will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with payroll and sales tax regulations. This position involves managing the setup of new tax accounts, resolving tax-related issues, and maintaining effective communication with government agencies and clients. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, skilled at problem-solving, and has exceptional communication abilities.
WORK SCHEDULE: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (10:00 PM – 7:00 AM Philippine Standard Time), follows Philippine holidays

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Perform the following tax compliance and account management duties:Oversee the setup and registration of new payroll and sales tax accountsEnsure timely and accurate filing of payroll and sales tax returns at the federal, state, and local levelsMaintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations to ensure compliancePerform the following tax resolution duties:Investigate and resolve payroll and sales tax discrepancies or issuesWork directly with government agencies (IRS, state tax departments) to resolve tax disputes, notices, or auditsPrepare and submit necessary documentation to support tax resolution effortsPerform the following payroll support duties:Assist in payroll processing to ensure compliance with tax regulationsReconcile payroll tax liabilities and payments to ensure accuracyManage payroll-related deductions and withholdingsPerform the following communication and collaboration duties:Liaise with clients, employees, and agencies to resolve tax-related inquiriesProvide clear and professional explanations of tax matters to clientsCollaborate with internal teams to streamline payroll and tax processesPerform the following process improvement and reporting duties:Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in payroll and tax complianceMaintain accurate and organized records of tax filings, account setups, and resolutionsGenerate and present reports on payroll and tax activities as requiredQUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field2-4 years of experience in payroll and tax compliance, including resolving tax issuesStrong knowledge of payroll systems and tax compliance software (e.g., ADP, QuickBooks, or similar)Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or similar certification is preferredExperience working with multi-state or multi-jurisdictional tax accounts is idealPrior experience in a client-facing or advisory role is idealFamiliarity with sales tax regulations and payroll tax requirementsExceptional problem-solving and analytical skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills, including comfort with phone-based interactionsAbility to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
