Under the USAID/Philippines, Pacific Islands, andMongolia Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Activity (PIMMELA), we are supportingthe USAID Office of Health (OH) in conducting a performance evaluation of the ImprovedHealth for Underserved Filipinos: Family Planning and Maternal and NeonatalHealth Innovations and Capacity Building Platforms (ReachHealth) Activity. The ReachHealth Activity is a five-year project that startedin December 2018 and aims to strengthen and improve access to critical healthservices for Filipino families. The project aids Philippine communities toreduce unmet need for family planning services and decrease teen pregnancy andnewborn morbidity and mortality. The project focuses its support on geographicareas with the highest health burden, the highest levels of unmet need forfamily planning and teenage pregnancy. Based on the request of USAID OH, PIMMELA will conducta performance evaluation of the ReachHealth project. The evaluation primarilyaims to assess how ReachHealth supported the Philippines in bolstering andimproving access to critical health services, reducing unmet need for familyplanning and decreasing teenage pregnancy. The results of the evaluation willinform USAID's next family planning activities and the Government ofPhilippines on which approaches of ReachHealth can be adopted and scaled up. PositionSummary: Panagora Groupseeks a short-term technical consultant to serve as a transcriptionist. S/Hewill transcribe recorded interviews in written format for documentation. Thedocumentation of interviews is a critical input for data analysis and thedevelopment of the evaluation report. The transcriptionist must have exemplarylistening skills since s/he will transcribe materials that may have differentaccents and background noise. Theevaluation is expected to be carried out between May and October 2024. Theposition will report to PIMMELA's Senior M&E Director and will work closelywith the performance evaluation team and PIMMELA's Health Data ManagementSpecialist. Responsibilities: ·Participate inevaluation team planning meetings between the evaluation team and PIMMELA ·Produce weekly accomplishmentreports on tasks assigned by the Evaluation Team Leader during the evaluation planning,implementation, and reporting phases ·Support theremote/online key informant interviews and focus group discussions throughnotetaking and transcription of recorded interviews ·Record anddocument meeting notes for the routine briefings with USAID OH and PIMMELA
