Primary Responsibilities Provide inputs into the overall GSSC Transformation and Change Program to effectively support the vision and strategy of the GSSC. Directly manage, across all phases of the projects, from Initiating, Planning, Execution, Monitoring & Control, to Closing, short- and long-term strategic and operational projects supporting the GSSC Transformation and Change Program. Lead and manage Partners in the implementation of both short- and long-term strategic and operational projects supporting the GSSC Transformation and Change. Work with Group Change and Transformation Team in developing change strategies and plans to support the GSSC and group transformation initiatives. Engage key stakeholders across the divisions to drive execution of change initiatives in the GSSC. Contribute to the design and subsequent refinement of QBE Transformation Delivery project management methodologies, processes and procedures to deliver superior transformation and change outcomes. Champion understanding of the change and transformation methodologies and embed the use of new practices and tools including Agile and Continuous Improvement across the organization. Develop and report on transformation programs and projects' state of play, especially Progress, Wins, Misses, Risks, Issues impacting the delivery of the agreed project's speed/time, cost, and quality outcomes. Establish and maintain strong and effective relationships with key stakeholders and GSSC customers. Ensure constant engagement, dialogue, and alignment with the key stakeholders and identified governance bodies to ensure on-going management and execution of activities to meet transformation requirements. Drive ownership of change through influence, relationship building, and negotiation skills. Identify and coach leaders in appropriate project management and change tools. Managing the effective delivery of QBE Projects to agreed time, budget, scope and quality using internationally-recognized Project Management methodologies and standards (e.g. Project Management Institute or Prince2), will directly manage assigned GSSC Transformation Projects and Initiatives end-to-end, across all phases of the projects, i.e. from Initiating, Planning, Execution, Monitoring & Control, to Closing. Effectively communicate expectations to project team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion, continuously managing to objectives, and hold project team members accountable for delivery. Continuously refine and improve key success indicators and measures for transformation and change initiatives. Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management methodology towards a rapid development model, supported by sound processes to create and deliver programs at the speed of business with the most efficient use of resources and budget. Mentor project peers, direct reports, project team members, and partners with the view of enhancing collective capability to deliver superior business outcomes. Lead project teams to establish and maintain best practices for effective program and project management from conceptualization to delivery, along with ongoing sustainability and metrics. Provide leadership and support to team and direct reports through an on-going talent and performance management (PMP) approach that aligns personal performance objectives with strategic objectives. Lead, motivate, mentor and manage direct reports to ensure team and individual objectives and business deliverables are met and on budget. Train and support relevant resources in project management and change management processes and procedures. Promote excellence through the attraction, continual development and retention of high quality workforce with the knowledge, skills and behaviors to deliver excellent outcomes and service. Required Education Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Required Experience 10+ years relevant experience. Required Licenses/Certifications Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification, Process Excellence certification. Preferred Competencies/Skills Ability to manage projects applying standard project management methodologies and disciplines (e.g. Project Management Institute, Prince2, or Agile). Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, and comfortable dealing with all levels of management. Strong critical thinking, problem solving and analytical skills. Adaptable to change and able to work in a highly dynamic environment. Strong relationship, influencing and negotiation skills. Strong ability to facilitate outcomes within the business using influencing and negotiation skills. Strong stakeholder management skills. Resilient, self-driven & emotionally intelligent. Preferred Experience Working experience in a consulting, captive offshore operations environment preferred. Preferred Knowledge Advanced knowledge of the nature of transformation and change programs in organizations. Strong background and knowledge of recognized project management methodologies and standards (e.g. Project Management Institute, Prince2, or Agile). Working knowledge of the insurance and reinsurance business (desired). Knowledge of Financial Services outsourcing/offshoring industry and business model. Comprehensive knowledge in project and operations excellence, change and quality management. Knowledge of Agile project delivery practices (desired).
