SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER (HVAC) - MELAKA Posting Date : 19 Jul 2024 | Close Date :17 Oct 2024 Client Background:Our client, established in 1982 in Malaysia, specializes in project execution, supply, installation, maintenance, and other related works for industrial heating, ventilation, air-conditioning (HVAC), electrical supply systems, utility processes, and cleanroom systems.
The company is a registered grade G7 contractor under the Construction Industry Development Board of Malaysia (CIDB) and has been MS ISO 9001:2015 certified since 1996.Industry: Main Contractor (Design & Build)Location: MelakaHeadcount: 1Tenure: PermanentJOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Collaborate with the project team, involved in procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.Manage project execution at the site for Mechanical or Electrical distribution systems, HVAC, cleanroom, and process utility systems.Ensure works are executed in accordance with approved specifications, procedures, and requirements.Liaise with clients, consultants, sub-contractors, and relevant authorities to resolve technical issues.Coordinate with sub-contractors for site surveys, space management, and site activities.Perform interim progress claims, monitor progress payments, and determine variation orders.Attend SMBWA, toolbox meetings, and design review meetings as required.Update As-Built drawings and prepare handover documents.Prepare Requests for Information (RFI) on changes in specifications.Prepare technical presentations for clients.JOB REQUIREMENTS: Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.5-6 years of experience in a similar role with work experience in engineering or factory/warehouse building and construction works.Prior experience in multi-discipline projects, especially HVAC and cleanroom projects, will be prioritized.Strong knowledge of project management in industrial projects.Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and verbal.
Mandarin proficiency is a must to liaise with Mandarin-speaking counterparts.Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
