Facilities/Maintenance Staff

Job Description

Ensure the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of our facilities through maintenance tasks, repairs, and inspections.

Responsibilities

Conduct regular inspections of the premises to promptly identify and address maintenance and repair needs.
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as plumbing, electrical repairs, carpentry work, and painting.
Ensure the cleanliness and orderliness of all facilities, including offices, restrooms, common areas, and outdoor spaces.Monitor and maintain cleaning supplies, tools, and equipment inventory levels.
Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialised repairs or services as needed.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests from employees and tenants, and resolve issues efficiently.
Conduct safety inspections and implement preventive measures to mitigate hazards and ensure health and safety regulations compliance.
Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and expenditures.


Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience in facilities maintenance, building operations, or a related field.
Knowledge of basic maintenance techniques and procedures (e.g., plumbing, electrical.
Ability to operate maintenance equipment and tools safely and effectively.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to maintenance emergencies outside of regular business hours.
Valid driver's license (if applicable).

Preferred Qualifications:

Technical or vocational training in facilities management, building maintenance, or a related field.
Certification in relevant trades (e.g., electrical, plumbing, basic welding, fabrication)Previous experience working in a commercial or industrial facility.
