Reporting to the CEO, a Senior Accounting Manager shall provide direction and leadership for the accounting team.
Provides overall leadership in the development, implementation, and review of all finance and accounting policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures of the company;Overseeing and managing the daily operations of the Accounting Department to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.Collaborating as a key member of the management team, contributing to the overall operational goals and strategic direction of the company.Preparing accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including weekly management meeting reports, and other relevant financial documents for internal review and decision-making.Preparing and filing Financial Statements, Income Tax Returns, monthly tax reports, and other regulatory filings with the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) and other government agencies, ensuring full compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations.Reviewing transactions through the preparation of monthly bank reconciliations, proof of cash, and cash flow statements to monitor the company's financial health and ensure accuracy in reporting.Reconciliation of the company's books of accounts, trial balance, general ledger, and other financial records, ensuring consistency and compliance with accounting standards and company policies.Ensuring that all disbursements are appropriate, properly approved, and within budgetary constraints, with clear and complete documentation for transparency and audit purposes.Reviewing, verifying, and approving daily transactions, ensuring compliance with financial policies, internal controls, and company procedures.Reviewing, analyzing, and approving product pricing and quotations to ensure accuracy, profitability, and competitiveness in the market.Identifying inefficiencies or gaps in current processes and recommending improvements to streamline operations, reduce costs, and increase financial accuracy and productivity.Managing and coordinating annual audits, providing necessary documentation and support for external auditors, and addressing any findings or recommendations to improve financial operations.Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, accounting regulations, and best practices to ensure the company's financial strategies and processes remain current and effective.Collaborating with other departments to provide financial insights, assist with budgeting and forecasting, and ensure alignment with the company's financial goals and objectives.Ensuring effective cash flow management, working capital optimization, and cost management to maximize profitability while minimizing financial risks.Supervising, training, and mentoring accounting staff to ensure a high-performing team, fostering professional growth, and ensuring adherence to financial best practices and company standards.Knowledge of Philippine payroll is required.Timely monthly and annual financial closing and preparation of financial statements;Monitors and ensures accurate and timely full compliance of tax provisions and requirements;Adherence to all statutory requirements by the SEC and government entries with oversight over the financial operations of the company;Preparation and monitoring of the annual budget;Preparation of budget performance reports and other reports required by the Board;Maintain effective internal control systems;Manage a results-driven, teamwork-oriented finance team that is given training and opportunities for professional growth;Concentrates on creating collaborative relationships and delivering consistent results by planning and prioritizing to meet work commitments. Expected to perform review of core processes, complex ad hoc work and all other client requirements. Provides consistent feedback on accuracy and timeliness of outputs made by the Accountants and Jr. Accountants.Qualifications Has a Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy and/or Finance, preferably with a Master's Degree in related disciplines;Must be a Certified Public Accountant;Has at least 10+ years of relevant experience in a senior leadership role of a large organization handling finance, accounting, financial planning, budget and analysis, controllership, and treasury team/s;Strong financial and accounting background, including an understanding of profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow management, and general finance and budgeting;Experience with budget management, public accounting, and cash flow;Candidates must have the necessary resources and equipment, both hardware (laptop) and required software.Candidates must have a fast, reliable, secure internet connection with a minimum speed of 10 mbps.
