Job Description
* Set and implement strategies and will be a partner to one of the biggest brands in the travel industry.
* To assist in revenue growth for defined Expedia TAAP through execution of strategic sales plan, field sales calls, business development and inside sales support tasks.
* Project a professional company image through face to face, phone, and email interaction.
* Develop & execute a sales strategy with a focus on retail wholesale across all distribution channels.
* Plan and conduct field sales calls & trade training via face to face and Webinars.
* Develop, nurture, and maintain effective collaborative relationships with trade and other business partners.
* Achieve set goals by identifying and maximizing sales opportunities and providing superior client service.
* Gather accurate market intelligence and monitor competitor activities and share with the rest of the organization.
* Monitor clients' performance against targets, identify potential shortfalls and areas of concern and proactively implement appropriate solutions.
* Proactively manage and escalate client issues and ensure appropriate solutions are found and implemented.
* Handle incoming service & sales calls & emails from travel agents & other business partners.
* Develop new profitable business opportunities and income streams for our client Expedia TAAP.
* Represent Expedia TAAP at approved consumer and trade shows and on industry committees and associations as well as conferences if required.
* Analyze performance data and compile reports as directed including regular client sales reports.
* Fulfill all administrational functions in relation to job role, clients' needs, and Expedia TAAP policies.
* Ability to accurately diagnose known and unknown partner business needs and translate needs into opportunities and appropriate product offering.
* Strong business development skills and with the ability to translate benefits into the partner's business language to prove value.
* Ability to effectively communicate and to form strong business relationships face to face and remotely; including fundamental presentation skills and the demonstrated Ability to articulate ideas clearly and appropriately influence others.
* Ability to identify travel agent partners with strong fit and which have the opportunity for long term growth. Understand who the top agencies are in the market and know how to reach them.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Power BI, and Tableau ideally CRM skills, preferably Salesforce
* Ability to work and thrive in a multi-tasked, fast paced environment.
* Team player who is willing to share ideas, bring a positive attitude and can be flexible when needed Language Skills
Job Qualifications
* Minimum of 3 years work experience in the travel industry.
* Minimum of 5 years in a related field sales role.
*Preference given to Expedia TAAP users who have proficient knowledge in the product.
* Energetic with excellent written and communication skills.
* Good Time management skills.
* Be goal oriented and able to reach targets and KPI's.
* Must be proficient in English-speaking skills ideally.
* This position is 4 days field work and 1 day at home
