Qa/Qc Officer

? Evaluate and assess daily quality control run in all sections of the laboratory.
? Check reagents that are due for calibration.
? Daily checking of all QC charts and QC logs.
? Recommends troubleshooting solutions and supervises intervention done in all Quality Control errors prior to machine use.
? Checks and monitors all laboratory machines' preventive maintenance and calibration schedule.
? Performs internal verifications of equipment.
? Assist the CMT in submitting and meeting all mandatory requirements for laboratory accreditation and standardization.
? Ensure availability and completeness of laboratory documents such as calibration certificates, proficiency certificates, etc.
? Performs Measurement of Uncertainty.
? Facilitates all EQAS and NEQAS schemes; assess lab's performance and identify areas of improvement; analyze and identify trends or systemic issues to implement continuous improvement.
? Performs validation and verification of new reagents and equipment prior to usage as well as new procedures prior to implementation.
? Monitor and oversee all lab sections including Micro and MolBio.
? Perform phlebotomy procedures.
? Conduct in-house lectures such as Basic QC.
? Evaluate and assess monthly quality control analysis
? Orient and train new RMTs for quality control processing.
? Regular updating of all qc documents.
? Perform other duties that may be assigned by the higher authority.
Skills and Qualifications:
? Bachelor's degree (Medical Technology; Laboratory Science or equivalent)
? At least 2 years relevant work experience
? Strong technical and analytical skills
? Extensive experience on running automated laboratory equipment
? Strong leadership potential, initiative and sound judgment
? Attended ISO 15189 orientation; relevant trainings/seminars is advantage
