Purchasing Supervisor

General Responsibility:

Responsible for overseeing the procurement of all raw materials, ingredients, and supplies necessary for production processes at CSI. This role requires a strong focus on quality and food safety, ensuring that all purchases meet the company's high standards. He/She will work closely with suppliers to secure the best quality products at the most competitive prices, maintaining untainted integrity in all dealings. The role also demands excellent planning skills to ensure a steady supply of materials while minimizing costs and avoiding disruptions to production.

Job Descriptions:

- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with CSI's goals and standards.
- Source and negotiate contracts with suppliers, ensuring the best possible terms for quality, price, and delivery.
- Oversee the entire purchasing process, from requisition to delivery, ensuring timely and cost- effective procurement.
- Ensure that all raw materials and ingredients meet CSI's stringent quality and food safety standards.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with a network of reliable and reputable suppliers.
- Negotiate favorable terms and resolve any disputes with suppliers.
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure a consistent supply of materials without overstocking.
- Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining quality standards.
- Prepare and manage the purchasing budget, ensuring adherence to financial goals.
- Collaborate with Production and Sales teams to forecast demand and plan procurement accordingly.
- Uphold the highest ethical standards in all procurement activities.
- Maintain untainted integrity and ensure that all transactions are free from conflicts of interest.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Food Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in the food service or manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of quality assurance, food safety standards, and related regulatory requirements.
- A well-established network of raw material and food suppliers.
- Proven track record of integrity and ethical conduct in procurement roles.
- Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Outstanding planning and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency track record of integrity and ethical conduct in procurement roles.
