DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Regularly monitor stock levels to assess inventory needs. Identify and forecast purchasing requirements based on sales forecasts, production schedules, and inventory turnover to prevent stockouts and overstock situations.Research potential vendors and suppliers to identify opportunities for sourcing high-quality products at competitive prices.Evaluate offers from vendors, considering factors such as price, quality, and delivery terms.Track orders from placement through to delivery, ensuring that all goods are received on time and in accordance with purchase agreements.Address any delays or discrepancies promptly to ensure minimal disruption to operations.Update and maintain internal databases with accurate order details, including order dates, vendors, quantities, and discounts.Ensure that records are current and reflect any changes or updates in procurement activities.Conduct market research to stay informed about pricing trends, industry developments, and new suppliers. Use this information to make informed purchasing decisions and recommend changes to procurement strategies.Evaluate offers from vendors and negotiate terms to secure the best possible prices and conditions.Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to facilitate effective negotiation and collaboration.Prepare and analyze cost reports to assess the impact of purchasing decisions on the overall budget.Conduct cost-benefit analyses to identify potential savings and improve cost-efficiency in procurement.Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of invoices, contracts, and purchase orders.Ensure proper documentation for financial audits and compliance with company policies and procedures.QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.Strong organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office.Handled a purchasing team.Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel.Proven track record of delivering high-quality results and meeting deadlines.Purchasing experience from a manufacturing company.At least 5 years of extensive experience as a purchasing supervisor.
