POSITION: Project Controls Head
REPORTS TO: Chief Technical Officer
Job Objectives:
The Project Controls Head shall be responsible for overseeing the project's entire project control process. He / She will ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the desired quality standards.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Develops key objectives and direction of all Project Controls functions including processes, procedures, systems and resources.
Oversee the development and maintenance of the project schedule.
Provides support, advice and expertise to the contracts and commercial team in relation to contentious claims and disputes that may arise on construction and consultancy contracts.
Provides best practice Project Controls expertise and service across the program incorporating cost management, project scheduling, reporting and risk management.
Implements and maintains the project schedule, including resource loading, critical path analysis, and progress monitoring
Manages project budgets, track costs, and prepare financial forecasts
Monitors and manages project risks, including the identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks and opportunities
Ensures accurate and timely project reporting to stakeholders, including progress updates, cost reports, and risk registers
Leads and mentors the project controls team, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities
Collaborates with project managers and engineers to ensure project objectives are achieved within scope, schedule, and budget constraints
Liaises with clients and other stakeholders to manage expectations and ensure alignment with project goals
Ensures compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and procedures, including safety and security requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor''s degree in Engineering, Management, or a related field
At least 3 years of experience in project controls in the energy industry, with a track record of successful project delivery
Strong understanding of project management principles, practices, and tools, including scheduling, cost control, contracts management, risk management, and reporting
Knowledge of safety and security requirements and regulations
Experience in managing a team of project control professionals
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficient in project management software and tools, including Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Excel
Must be willing to work onsite in Nueva Ecija
