Job Summary:
The Production Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining machinery and equipment used in the production process. This role involves monitoring production lines, ensuring quality standards are met, and performing routine maintenance to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Machine Operation: Operate production machinery and equipment according to established procedures and safety guidelines. Monitor machines during operation to ensure they are running smoothly and efficiently.
Quality Control: Inspect products during and after production to ensure they meet quality standards. Perform regular checks and adjustments to machinery to maintain product quality.
Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance on machinery and equipment, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn or damaged parts. Report any malfunctions or issues to the maintenance team.
Production Monitoring: Monitor production processes and make adjustments as necessary to optimize efficiency and output. Record production data and report any deviations from standard procedures.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all safety guidelines.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production activities, including quantities produced, downtime, and any issues encountered. Complete necessary paperwork and reports as required.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with other production team members and supervisors to coordinate activities and address any production-related issues. Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
Problem Solving: Identify and troubleshoot issues that may arise during the production process. Implement corrective actions and suggest improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical or vocational training in manufacturing or a related field is a plus.
Experience: Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred. Experience operating machinery and equipment is an advantage.
Skills:
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to operate machinery.
Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Basic math skills and ability to read technical documents and blueprints.
Effective problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry objects of moderate weight, stand for extended periods, and perform tasks that require manual dexterity and physical effort.
