1. Maintenance and Repair
? Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime and prolong operational lifespan
? Conduct routine inspections and troubleshooting of vehicles & heavy equipment to identify potential issues and address them proactively
? Coordinate with in-house mechanics, technicians, and external service providers to schedule repairs and upgrades as needed
2. Fleet Management
? Maintain an inventory of vehicles, specialized equipment, and other motorized equipment
? Coordinate the assignment of heavy equipment based on operational requirements
? Develop and implement procedures for heavy equipment acquisition, disposal, and replacement
? Ensure that all heavy equipment is properly maintained and serviced according to manufacturer
guidelines and regulatory standards
3. Compliance and Safety:
? Ensure compliance with local and national regulations governing vehicle operation and
maintenance
? Develop and enforce safety policies and procedures to minimize accidents and injuries
? Conduct driver and operator training programs on safe driving practices on equipment and
vehicle operations
? Maintain accurate records of heavy equipment and vehicle inspections, maintenance, and
repairs
4. Budgeting and Financial Management:
? Prepare a budget for the maintenance department, including expenses related to vehicle
maintenance, fuel, and repairs, others
? Monitor expenditures and implement cost-saving initiatives where possible
? Evaluate vendors and negotiate contracts for vehicle maintenance services and supplies
5. Reporting and Documentation:
? Generate regular reports on vehicle and heavy equipment utilization, maintenance activities,
and operational performance
? Maintain records of vehicle registration, insurance, and licensing
? Prepare documentation for heavy equipment and vehicle accidents, incidents, and insurance
claims as needed
Qualifications:
? BS in Business Administration Logistics or Engineering, Logistics/Transportation Commerce,
or similar diploma programs.
? Must have at least 5 years of experience in a big logistics company with procurement
experience
? Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in equipment engineering or maintenance, preferably in a
construction environment
? Basic understanding of Architectural, Electrical, Civil and Structural Engineering construction
practices
? In-depth knowledge of heavy lift equipment, automation systems, and control technologies
? Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, with the ability to interpret and leverage
equipment performance data
? Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
? Excellent project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple
projects simultaneously, and drive results
