About the Client:  CubeDash, LLC, facilitates freight movement within the United States, specializing in brokering less-than-truckload (LTL), white glove, volume, intermodal, and truckload freight. Role Summary: The company is seeking a Carrier Relationship and Customer Service Representative to support its truckload brokerage operations in a dual-focused role, emphasizing both carrier management and customer service. This role is pivotal in ensuring the company's success by fostering strong carrier partnerships, securing competitive rates, and delivering exceptional service to clients. This position is responsible for sourcing new carriers, managing rate negotiations, conducting outreach to potential carrier partners, and supporting sales administration tasks. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent organizational and communication skills, balancing both carrier relationship management and customer satisfaction to provide a seamless experience for clients. Responsibilities: Carrier Relations & Sourcing: Build and maintain relationships with a network of reliable carriers. Identify and reach out to potential new carrier partners through outbound calls and emails. Gather data on prospective carriers, initiate contact, and add new carriers to our network to meet capacity demands.Sales Skills & Outreach: Utilize sales skills to establish and maintain carrier partnerships. Conduct targeted outreach via email blasts and calls to build rapport with potential carriers and gather essential information on carrier offerings.Rate Negotiation & Procurement: Secure cost-effective and competitive rates through negotiation with carriers, focusing on meeting both market demands and the company's financial goals. Review past payment data to understand rate trends and develop pricing strategies that optimize profitability.Sales Administration & Carrier Compliance: Support sales administration by maintaining detailed records of carrier credentials, including insurance, safety ratings, and compliance with industry regulations. This includes reviewing carrier qualifications to mitigate risks and ensure company standards are met.Booking & Load Management: Oversee the booking process with carriers, coordinating accurate scheduling and providing real-time tracking updates for clients. Ensure timely pick-ups, deliveries, and smooth load management.Customer Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, delivering timely updates on shipments and resolving inquiries with professionalism. Provide quotes, enter shipments, and generate tracking and pickup reports.Issue Resolution: Handle escalations from both carriers and customers, addressing service-related issues proactively to prevent delays or disruptions. Keep all stakeholders informed throughout the resolution process.Documentation & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive records of carrier preferences, rate structures, and performance data. Develop a carrier network database to support efficient carrier identification for specific routes and regular reporting on network strength, rate trends, and performance metrics. RequirementsAt least 5 years of experience in sales, customer service, and client relations, preferably within the logistics or freight forwarding industry.Proven ability to build and maintain carrier relationships, with experience in rate negotiation and carrier outreach.Strong English verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to conduct outbound calls and emails professionally.Exceptional attention to detail, follow-up, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage documentation and compliance records accurately.Strong sales acumen and negotiation skills, with a passion for securing the best rates and terms with carrier partners.Demonstrated drive, assertiveness, and dedication to succeed in the logistics industry.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team to support company objectives.Skilled in managing complex, high-priority customer situations with professionalism and composure.Ability to handle and prioritize high volumes of calls, emails, and customer inquiries.Familiarity with outbound sales administration and CRM or customer database tools is preferred. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required.Minimum of 5 years of experience in a support or relationship management role, ideally within the logistics industry.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with CRM tools or logistics software.Previous logistics industry experience, with a background in carrier relations or procurement, is highly preferred.
