BASIC FUNCTIONThe basic function of this position is to provide guidance, support and coordination in the consistent and effective application of policies, procedures and practices of the Human Resources Department at the branches. The HR Assistant also assists every aspect of human resources including but not limited to recruitment, administrative support and implementation of the institution's rules, regulations and policies. JOB SPECIFICATIONS:A. Minimum Education / Experience Required:Bachelor's degree in Personnel Management/Industrial Relations, Business Administration, Communication Arts/Journalism, Psychology, or its equivalent. Preferably with on-going postgraduate studies in Industrial Relations, HR management, Business Administration, Education or related field/s.B. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:Verbal ability is necessary to communicate with employees and applicants regarding personnel-related inquiries and concerns and in making contacts with administrators, employees and outside contacts.Clerical ability is needed to perform the different clerical functions required of the job.Motor coordination is needed for encoding date from the computer and in typing data.Manual dexterity is needed for sorting and filing of records.Incumbent must have a preference for routine, concrete, and organized activities, adaptable to keeping records and to interviewing.Incumbent must be versatile; work involves a variety of duties so incumbent must be able to do multi-tasking.C. Major External ContactsAdministrators, employees (all levels), job applicants and other external publicsD. Equipment Used:Computer, printer, telephone, fax machine, calculator, ID printer
