Job Summary The Head of Brand & Marketing is a senior leadership role responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies to enhance brand positioning and drive profitability across our portfolio of brands. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, capable of integrating market insights, financial metrics, and innovative marketing practices to achieve business objectives. The Head of Brand & Marketing will lead cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive execution of marketing activities and foster a culture of continuous improvement and engagement. A key focus of this position is to support franchisee profitability and growth in sales through strategic brand management.
Key Responsibilities: Strategy Development: Develop and implement overall marketing strategies and brand positioning with a focus on profitability across the brand portfolio. Monitor revenue growth, profit margins, market share expansion, and return on marketing investment (ROMI) to support franchisee success.Market Research & Analysis: Oversee comprehensive market research initiatives, integrating both paid and informal insights with financial performance metrics to inform strategic decisions. Ensure effective utilization of customer insights in strategy formulation to enhance franchisee growth.Product Development & Launches: Guide end-to-end product category strategy from concept to launch, ensuring alignment with financial objectives. Achieve successful product launches and meet post-launch performance targets that contribute to franchisee sales growth.Brand Communication & Public Relations: Shape external communications and prioritize core brand values across all channels. Increase brand awareness, media engagement, and ensure consistency in messaging to boost brand and store visibility.Execution of Marketing Activities: Lead the strategic direction and high-level execution of marketing campaigns and initiatives across a portfolio of brands. Ensure that all activities align with brand standards and strategic objectives, focusing on driving customer engagement and increasing sales. Oversee the Marketing Operations team to ensure seamless integration of channel-specific tactics, including in-store promotions, digital marketing efforts, and overarching brand campaigns for each brand in the portfolio. Ensure that marketing activities are cohesive across all brands and support overall growth objectives. Adjust strategies as necessary to optimize results and support franchisee success across the entire brand portfolio.Team Leadership & Coordination: Lead cross-functional teams across Sales, Commissary, Purchasing, etc., ensuring goal alignment with a focus on financial performance. Foster collaboration and maintain high team satisfaction scores using Gallup's Q12.Customer Insights & Behavior Analysis: Design research initiatives to explore consumer behavior deeply, integrating insights into strategic planning. Implement changes based on customer feedback to enhance satisfaction and drive franchisee profitability.Department Systems: Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance team efficiency and reduce costs. Implement new systems effectively to streamline operations, benefiting franchisee operations.Team Development: Foster a culture of continuous learning and development. Ensure team engagement through training programs and skill development initiatives that support franchisee success. Job Qualifications Proven experience in a senior marketing role with a focus on brand management, strategic planning, and financial acumen.Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience in public relations or media engagement.Ability to analyze market trends, consumer data, and financial metrics to drive informed decision-making.Experience working in a fast-paced environment, preferably within the franchising or fast-food industry.
