Group Leader

1. Ensures that the basic resources - 3M (man, material and machine) are all available at the start of the shift.
2. Check and monitor operator's attendance & punctuality & recommend disciplinary action.
3. Monitor operator's productivity on interval basis.
4. Oversee the shift operation of assigned area with main emphasis on meeting the target input/output, yield, quality and line efficiency.
5. Ensure proper adherence of standard procedure, line discipline and good housekeeping in the line.
6. Coordinate & follow up immediate repair work on machines, process disposition, QC qualification/buy off and facility support.
7. Performs common duties such as training of subordinates on their job functions, work scheduling, personnel disciplinary actions and performance appraisal.
8. Provides assistance to the production officer by supplying and moving the required production WIP / materials to the production operators at different work stations to ensure a smooth production flow.
9. Conduct physical counting and monitoring of materials being withdrawn, handled and distributed.
10. Counsel operators who are weak in performance and poor conduct.
11. Endorse the line situation properly to the next shift re: machine status, shipment priorities, quality alerts, special instruction/procedures & others.
