To manage internal teams, stake holders and clients where relevant, in the view of ensuring the Australia tax compliance deliverable are delivered on time and to a high standard of quality. Apart from the wider roles in the organisation, key responsibilities of a manager is to ensure relevant data is gathered, tax returns and provisions are prepared in a timely manner and submitted to ATO. A manager is expected to perform the tax technical review of the Australia tax compliance deliverable and is responsible for service delivery support in conjunction with EY's engagement leaders and partners globally.
Responsibilities
· Apply your technical knowledge to our engagements / clients in ways that produce strategic outcomes to some very complex issues.
· Anchor a book of business by delivering a high quality work product efficiently, with managing risk.
· Developing clear, intelligent plans and approaches to improve our engagement economics. Drive margin outcome through effective utilisation of self and team.
· Provide meaningful business insights to client and onshore teams.
· Identifying potential opportunities on clients and potential additional opportunities that can be serviced from GDS.
· Learning and researching current market trends, to maintain your credibility as a trusted advisor.
· Building relationships with onshore teams and demonstrating your technical expertise and sector/ industry specific knowledge.
· Supervising a motivated team of professionals, guaranteeing they have the skills, knowledge and opportunities to reach their full potential.
· Lead end to end tax compliance cycle of the engagement and essentially collaborate with teams across EY.
· Develop knowledge in a broad range of tax technical and transaction skills and play a role of an effective change agent where required.
· Should have experience managing budgets, people and projects.
· Participate in marketplace activities to expand professional network and contribute to the growth of practice through learning programs, Innovation & Technology development. Functional & Technical skills
· Ability to work and plan effectively with minimal direction in ambiguous situations,
· Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on building high functioning teams.
· Able to articulate/position complex/critical challenges, issues, etc
· A proven record of excellence in a professional services or tax organisation.
· The ability to prioritise when working on multiple complex projects.
· Strong influencing skills, and the confidence to question existing processes.
· Strong tax technical knowledge of Australian Corporate Tax.
· Awareness of other taxes in the Australia
· Ability to read, interpret and apply the tax legislation.
Qualifications & Experience
· 8 - 13 years of experience working in Australian Tax environment.
· A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance. Business or a related discipline.
· Could be a certified CA.
· Amenability to do hybrid work set up (More than 2 days per week) in Mckinley West Taguig
