ABOUT THE ROLE As a versatile Finance Officer, you will play a vital role in our Australian client's organization, supporting their finance team. Overall, your day as a Finance Officer would involve a mix of financial management, reporting, administrative tasks, and maintaining compliance with relevant policies and regulations. You will work within a dynamic finance team to accurately record transactions and prepare reports for management review, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Additionally, you may participate in financial audits, providing necessary support and documentation as required. Your contribution will ensure the smooth operation of the financial processes and support the company's overall success.
Responsibilities: FINANCE OPERATIONS Work within and maintain financial and accounting systems. Manage incoming and outgoing mail documentation, administration of all entity's accounts email inbox's, and directing emails where needed. Prepares reports and documents covering accounting transactions for management review. Accurately record transactions and help with financial audits wherever necessary. Prepare balance sheet reconciliations. Prepare reports and documents covering accounting transactions for management review. Update internal systems with financial data. Assist in preparing weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Participate in financial audits. Track bank deposits and payments Participate in weekly meetings as set by Management. Maintain personal competence in using the related finance systems through internal and external training. Manage invoicing to collect money owed by clients/customers. Treat all payroll and human resources-related activities in strictest confidence. OTHER Review and implement financial policies. Provide clerical and other related duties. Perform any other duties that are reasonably required for the position and/or requested by the Finance Business Partner. DEBTORS Assist where required with accounts receivable and debt collection for all entities within the group and our clients. Assist Management with all debtor insurances and limits on each client Management and reconciliation of Debtor Finance Facilities WH&S Comply with all WH&S policies and procedures. Report all accidents, near misses and unsafe work practices/hazards to your supervisor. Work in a manner which is conducive to WH&S. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or similar is preferred but not essential. Previous experience in a Finance Position and/or Bookkeeping role (at least 3-5 years experience) Experience with International Clients preferably Australian Clients. Expertise in Excel and High-level attention to detail . Excellent organizational and administrative skills, innovation, ownership and problem-solving skills with the ability to work to deadlines, good attention to detail and with a focus on continuous improvement. Customer focused, with the ability to communicate effectively and meet business expectations with staff, clients and candidates. Effective process and administration skills to meet compliance requirements, with proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint and ability to use the payroll system and databases.
