Estimator For Australian Client (Part-Time)

The client is a contracting company that undertakes a broad range of civil/utilities throughout the Sydney area and surrounding areas. They also have a Non-Destructive excavation service division which provides an immediate response to their clients' needs while providing the most technically advanced equipment available.

We are looking for a diligent Estimator to prepare accurate estimates for projects by gathering information and analyzing important metrics. You will provide knowledge of costs and benefits that support profitable business decisions.

Understand the project/program and its requirements.
Determine key variables for cost and other estimates.
Conduct regular risk assessments.
Oversee the different stages of a company project to ensure that expenses follow the forecast plan.
Interpreting drawings, relevant specifications, and reports.
Preparing take-offs, itemizing, sending to and liaising with suppliers, and putting together a complete and compliant quote.


Requirements
5 years of experience as an Estimator or related role in an Australian company
Experience in cost estimating and other software related to the field. (MS Excel, Tender link, Asana, etc.)
Strong Background in Excavation Projects such as roads, car parks, etc.
Experience in interpreting and analyzing project specifications, drawings, and PPR.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to read and understand architectural and structural drawings.
Experience working in the construction, engineering or architectural industry is a plus.
Knowledge of relevant building codes and regulations
