Filinvest Hotel: Crimson Resort & Spa Boracay In accordance with the policies, procedure and standards of Chroma Hospitality and Crimson Resort & Spa Boracay, under the supervision of the Operations Engineer, the Duty Engineer is responsible for effective operations and maintenance for the physical plant, Kitchen and Laundry equipment, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation system of the resort as well as its building decoration. Operations Management Ensures safe and continuous operation of all systems in the resort, i.e., power, water, sewage, air conditioning, steam, etc. Immediately report any abnormalities to the Assistant Chief Engineer. Ensures good housekeeping and orderliness of all working area of the Engineering Energy and Utility Management Ensures sufficient generation of energy and utility, power, water, steam, air-con, etc. (i.e. shut-off any equipment / systemin excess of actual requirement of the Resort. Monitors the only utilities consumption and takes proper corrective action as to any abnormal variances. Constantly monitors the actual level of externally sourced utilities i.e. LPG and diesel, ensure sufficient availability and prompt ordering. Repair and Maintenance Receives repair work in his shift to be done by Work Order form or by telephone call and rectifies as soon as possible. If the job cannot be done or finished within his time schedule, the Work Order must be transferred to the next shift for completion or rectification. Heavy work must be transferred to the Repair and Maintenance group through Work Order. Safety Conducts periodic tests and inspections of safety equipment and alarm systems with the Assistant Chief Engineer. Responds to emergency call and leads emergency brigade to contain situation. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Professional engineering license or certification is preferred. At least 3-5 years of experience in a similar engineering role within the hospitality industry. Proven experience in the maintenance and operation of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other mechanical systems. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to interact effectively with guests, team members, and contractors. Proficiency in English; knowledge of other languages is an advantage. Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team of technicians and maintenance staff. Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance requirements. Amenable to work in Boracay Island.
