Director of Sales Accounting We are seeking an experienced Director of Sales Accounting to lead our sales accounting team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of sales accounting, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and the optimization of revenue recognition processes.
Responsibilities Include: Overseeing the delivery of all tasks defined as sales accounting function including (but not limited to):
facilitating legal and compliance approvals for sales opportunities ensuring compliance with internal controls related to sales accounting ensuring processes are followed in proposals and subsequent contract negotiations working closely with sales leaders to ensure the fidelity of sales forecasts tracking sales attainment against quota per sales people and sales leaders overseeing the quality of information about opportunities in company CRM(S); Ensure the accurate tracking of sales KPIs; Assisting the Chief Strategy Officer in tracking, evaluating and applying for government grants and programs related to R&D and commercialization; Representing the company from time to time at functions related to funding opportunities Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the sales accounting function Lead initiatives to streamline workflows, enhance reporting capabilities, and improve data accuracy. Monitor industry trends and changes in regulations to maintain compliance and mitigate risks. Special Requirements/Certifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
7-10 years of experience in accounting or finance, with a focus on sales accounting or revenue recognition. Proven experience in a managerial or leadership role, overseeing teams and driving results. Extensive knowledge of financial reporting, sales operations, and compliance. Experience in the specific industry (e.g., technology, manufacturing, retail) can be beneficial. Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems Strong understanding of financial regulations related to sales and revenue.
