Responsible for developing, implementing and managing all marketing, advertising, creative production, and graphic communications both internal and external to Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona (GCNA) and its affiliated entities. These efforts position GCNA as the regional leader in both non-profit mission services and the thrift retail and donated goods business.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Serves as the primary liaison to the contracted advertising agencies, providing strategic oversight of contract, budget allocation and management, reporting, creative review and recommendations. Works closely with Vice President of Marketing to recommend annual marketing and advertising plans and budgets to other departments.Drives process improvement and cost savings initiatives through evaluating current processes, identifying best practices, and developing plans to reach goals and implement improvements, continuously reviewing tools/systems and automating processes.Creates or assists in the creation of annual marketing plans for all departments and oversees the execution of these plans.Understands and delivers on customers' and the communities' needs and expectations by collaborating with internal and external teams.Builds and manages strong working relationships with marketing, communications, and events team partners, as well as within the Goodwill organization.Guides the senior marketing operations manager and creative manager leads, in the production of all external communications, including digital assets, newsletters, brochures and flyers, website content, event collateral, interior building signage, invitations, annual reports, and more.Responsible for overseeing all special promotions for Retail, Mission Services, Philanthropy, and other GCNA departments.In partnership with outside agencies and internal departments, creates metrics and structures reporting to measure success and outcomes of events, grand openings, and campaigns.Maintains regular and consistent in-person attendance.Responsible for performance management (coaching, discipline, performance improvement plans, and annual reviews), staffing, compensation, and development of direct reports.Plays critical role in driving company culture change efforts and change management processes.Models Goodwill Core Values – Trust, Collaboration, Engagement, Ownership, and Innovation.Performs other related duties, as assigned.Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills):
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in, Marketing, Communications, Business, or another related field.Minimum of 10 years' combined experience in marketing, advertising, and creative production oversight.Direct experience in agency management and/or client services.Previous demonstrated experience in managing high-volume and fully-integrated advertising budgets.Experience leading creative production teams and ability to guide copywriting, graphic design, and branding direction, insights, and feedback.Must have 5+ years' experience in a high volume, multi-location and region employer (1,500+ employees). Ability to operate professionally in a corporate and not-for-profit environment and assume responsibility for guiding marketing projects and programs from inception through completion.Strong ability to think strategically and keep abreast of industry/market trends.Strong history of quickly building relationships, gaining credibility and partnering with department leaders and peers.Demonstrated excellence in written communication skills.Ability to speak and read English proficiently.Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills including proven effectiveness in one-on-one, group communications and media relations.Demonstrated project management skills and strong attention to detail.Demonstrated ability to simultaneously manage multiple, complex projects in varying stages of development under time pressure and deadlines.Strong MS Office skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook.Valid drivers' license and clean MVR.Ability to pass a background check and drug screen, where applicable for position.Reasonable Accommodation Statement: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
