**Primary responsibilities**
The Data Governance Manager is in-charge of
- Defining and communicating the Data Governance (DG) strategy and initiatives across all Lines of Business;
- Supporting the deployment of DG practices and solutions as part of the business and data strategies;
- Tracking and monitoring Data Quality, as well as the prioritization of the Data Domains to be governed;
- Querying and analyzing data to recommending DG initiatives that will help improve Data Quality;
- Running analyses and preparing reports for the Data Committee;
- Preparing and designing DG practices, standards, and guidelines for approval and deployment to processes;
- On-barding, training, and guiding Data Owners and Stewards.
- The role reports to Data Analytics Head.
**Specialized Knowledge**
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the DG principles and processes;
- Familiar with Data Quality Tool, Master Data Management, and Metadata Management Tools;
- Strong knowledge of Data Governance best practices and common data profiling rules;
- Familiar with Data Management principles and best practices; and
- Familiar with Data Privacy and Information Security guidelines and best practices.
**Education and Experience**
- 3 to 5 Years experienced in the field of Data Governance, Data Management, and/or Data Architecture
- Experienced in Change Management, especially in enabling key talents to perform new roles
- Experienced in implementing solutions to improve Data Quality
- Ability to communicate effectively and work with stakeholders and end-users at all levels.
- Can work independently or as part of team.
- Must be willing to work with and learn new technologies
- Must be action-oriented with excellent follow through
**Communication Scope**
- The job requires collaboration with Business Leads and IT teams in order to deliver the requirements of the business.
