Data Collectors - Project Based

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Reports to the local managers for instructions and guidelines of his responsibility
Interviews captains and fishers of the control group (at least all trips from which Meliomar purchases tuna) on the onboard handling and catch data to provide complete adapted FCR and FVHR forms of these trips.

Records provision of safety at sea gears for all the people joining the fishing trips.
Maintains coordination with the local managers & onboard observers to be updated on the development of the ongoing fishing trips relevant for Meliomar.
Monitors daily prevailing selling and buying prices of tuna and other fishes and coordinate with procurement manager at the head office
Inspects and monitors other species landed and its seasonality and coordinate with the local managers for recommendation to the marketing and sales team.
Submits all reports /records to the local manager /s for safe keeping and reporting to the project managers, save e-copy and hard copy of all the reports for future reference.

Administers compliance on timely basis, that the vessels of the control group are registered and licensed and are practicing improved catch handling.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
With at least 2-3 years actual experience in the field; advantage if from food /seafood processing, import /export distribution or FMCG industry
Willing to work on different shift schedules
Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Fisheries; if college /university graduate of any course must be with equivalent experience
