Job Description Monitor and Respond to Security Incidents: Proactively monitor security events, detect potential threats, and respond to incidents in a timely manner. Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measures. Network and Infrastructure Security: Manage and secure the institution's network, servers, and cloud environments. Ensure best practices in firewall management, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and endpoint protection. Security Tools and Technology Management: Evaluate, deploy, and optimize security tools and technologies such as SIEM, EDR, and vulnerability scanners to enhance the organization's security posture. Vulnerability Management: Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests, and work closely with the IT team to remediate identified weaknesses. Policy and Compliance: Contribute to the development and enforcement of security policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with financial regulations and industry best practices. Incident Response and Threat Hunting: Lead incident response activities and perform proactive threat hunting to identify and mitigate risks before they can impact operations. Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with IT, DevOps, and other teams to ensure security is integrated into the organization's systems and processes from the ground up. The Successful Applicant Minimum 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a strong background in network, infrastructure, and security operations. Experience working in fast-paced environments such as start-ups is highly desirable. Hands-on experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, endpoint security, and other security technologies. Knowledge of vulnerability management, incident response, and threat detection best practices. Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or CCNA Security are a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an eye for detail. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
