About the Company: Our client is a remedial building specialist company serving strata managers, strata schemes, project managers, engineers and architects for over two decades. As highly regarded specialists in remedial and strata work, we are aware of the complexity of many projects and in turn are sensitive to the needs of every job. We work very closely with engineers and building consultants on difficult and complex projects. Our experienced team of projects managers, site supervisors and foremen are complimented with a hand picked panel of sub contractors, including a number of skilled specialists, all of whom meet and exceed our tough standards. Our business has been providing honest & reliable service to the building industry since 1993; our professional staff have over 80 years of combined building experience. Duties/Responsibilities Project Co-ordination - Organising approved jobs, scheduling works & access with clients. - Preparing contracts - Ordering materials - Placing contractor orders & preparing contractor packages - Preparing site construction & site safety folders - Preparing & submitting progress claims - Preparing, pricing & submitting project variations Estimating & Tendering: - Attending tender meetings (Occasionally) - Summarising tenders and obtaining quantities - Obtaining quotes for materials - Obtaining quotes from contractors - Pricing tenders with project Manager - Finalising & submitting tenders General - Handling company emails and customer communication - Preparing, typing and submitting quotes - Dealing with required contacts including: superintendents, engineers, council, strata managers, building managers, contractors, suppliers & clients Software's currently being used: - Project management software: BuildLogic - On screen take off plans system : Planswift - Accounting Software : MYOB. - We are flexible to new ideas and ways.
\n Skills & Experience RequirementsTertiary qualification in building & construction or a related fieldMinimum of 2-3 years solid experience.Experience in remedial works is preferable.Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook and Project)Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills.A self-starting, motivated and ambitious attitude, able to work autonomously.Organised and able to meet deadlines Positive attitude and eager to continue to learnStrong attention to detail, problem solving skills and cost management.
