As a GDS Assurance Senior, you will serve as the primary point of contact for global client-serving assurance teams on assigned engagements. You will be responsible for managing the timeliness and quality of deliverables, ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the engagement, and meeting global team expectations. This role requires a strong technical background in accounting, with the ability to interpret reviews and apply accounting standards. You will also need strong project management, communication, and leadership skills to guide your team and deliver high-quality outcomes.
Engagement Leadership: Lead engagements from the GDS front, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality work that aligns with the Global Assurance Methodology (GAM) and client expectations.Review and Quality Control: Conduct reviews of work performed by GDS staff, ensuring compliance with GAM, quality standards, and risk management protocols. Apply relevant tools to ensure these are integrated into the engagement team's processes.Resource and Workflow Management: Proactively manage workflow with global assurance teams, allocate resources effectively, monitor performance, and address any issues promptly. Track utilization, budget performance, and operational metrics.Client and Team Relationship Management: Build and maintain productive relationships with both GDS and global teams, clearly communicating expectations and delivering value. Foster an open, collaborative environment to achieve engagement goals.Operational Excellence: Take ownership of operational matters within your engagements, standardizing processes where possible, and identifying opportunities for process improvement.Team Leadership and Development: Lead and mentor GDS team members, identifying key talent, coaching them for success, and conducting performance reviews to support their professional growth.Skills and Attributes for Success: Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, auditing standards, and financial reporting frameworks such as PFRS/IFRS, PSA, and Taxation.Leadership: Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate, guide, and develop team members, while managing multiple projects and deadlines.Effective Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly, listen effectively, and tailor communication to different audiences.Project Management: Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage resources, deadlines, and performance metrics across multiple teams.Problem-Solving: Proactively identify and address challenges, ensuring that the team delivers the best possible outcomes.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or a related field.Certified Public Accountant (CPA).Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting and auditing, with external audit experience required.At least 1 year of leadership experience, with a demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams.Strong knowledge of local and international accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, PFRS, PSA, Taxation).Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with additional accounting standards such as UK GAAP or US GAAP is an advantage.Exceptional interpersonal, risk management, and presentation skills.Ability to foster a positive team culture and live by core organizational values.Proven ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, clients, and global teams.What We Look For: We seek high-performing individuals who consistently deliver quality work and are committed to continuous improvement.
