About the Role A leadingdeveloper in the Philippines is seeking a highly motivated and detail-orientedAssociate Quantity Surveyor to join their growing construction team. In this role,you will play a critical role in the project's financial success by preparingaccurate cost estimates, managing the bidding process, and monitoring projectcosts throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities Planning and Construction Stages:
Prepare and process realistic, adaptable, and accurate budget/cost estimates in collaboration with relevant teams like Technical Services Group (TSG), Construction Management Team (CMT), Technical Review & Monitoring (TRM), and Project Development Management Group (PDMG).
Participate in the bidding evaluation process alongside the TRM team.
Prepare and monitor project cost updates based on awarded contracts and variation claims.
Project and Monitoring Functions:
Advise, coordinate with, and assist the Project Manager/Construction Manager in establishing and maintaining bid documentation and tendering procedures. This includes preparing bid packages and standard bid documents.
Represent the company at bid conferences and project meetings. Analyze tender submissions, prepare bid evaluation reports, and recommend tender awards for bid negotiations.
Generate and provide data for project cost monitoring and controlling. Contribute to the arrangement of project finances.
Attend and actively participate in project team meetings. Conduct site visits to monitor work progress and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
Liaise, consult, and communicate with consultants, engineers, architects, contractors, and other relevant stakeholders regarding cost estimates and project changes. Maintain a directory of project consultants, designers, and company contacts.
Conduct quantity and cost reconciliation with contractors and suppliers to facilitate the preparation of the Final Account.
Participate in and recommend Value Engineering initiatives to optimize project cost.
