We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounting Officer to join our finance team. The Accounting Officer will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accuracy in transactions, and supporting the company's financial processes. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Record Management:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, invoices, and receipts.
Record financial transactions in compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
Process payments to vendors and suppliers while ensuring proper documentation.
Monitor receivables and follow up on overdue accounts.
Bank Reconciliation:
Reconcile bank statements with internal financial records to ensure accuracy.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Budgeting and Reporting:
Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
Generate financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
Tax Compliance:
Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns and other statutory requirements.
Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
Audit Support:
Prepare and provide documentation for internal and external audits.
Address audit findings and implement recommendations as needed.
Policy Implementation:
Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
Ensure adherence to company policies and financial regulations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Proven experience as an Accounting Officer or similar role.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Office (Excel).
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Skills:
CPA certification is an advantage.
Knowledge of payroll systems and processes.
Experience with ERP systems.
