The Accounting Manager ensures organizations' financial records remain accurate while meeting reporting deadlines. Establish internal controls and guidelines for preparing transactions that comply with generally accepted accounting principles and relevant laws and regulations. Develop and implement internal accounting policies and procedures.
Requirements: A. Accounting ManagementManage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department to ensure financial objectives are met.Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.Assist the budget committee with budget preparation, analysis, and creation of budget reports.Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.Coordinate with the external auditor and complete annual audit activities and report.Develop action plans, audit operations, propose systems improvement and procedures, and initiate corrective actions. Lead the accounting team to provide accurate, timely data and recommendations.Establish and maintain financial files and records to document transactions.Complete all financial transactions for the month, quarter, or year to ensure financial statements accurately represent the reporting period.B. Performance ManagementProvide feedback, mentoring, and coaching to subordinates.Conduct performance evaluations in a timely manner.C. System ComplianceComply with company policies and implement program standards.Perform other related duties that may be assigned by immediate superior from time to time.Qualifications: Must be a Bachelor of Science Degree graduate of either Business Management, Accounting, or Banking and Finance, CPA.Must have at least five (5) years of experience in a managerial capacity in Accounting Functions, preferably in a group of companies or big manufacturing firm and/or construction company.Must have the following skills and attributes: good analytical skills, well-organized, trustworthy, patient, and able to relate with all levels in the organization, assertive, and able to lead, able to work well under pressure, excellent negotiation skills, and excellent oral and written communication. Resourceful and creative.Must be proficient/knowledgeable in Microsoft Office applications.
