Job Description Description Financial Reporting & Analysis: Oversee the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP/IFRS. Analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to executive leadership. Present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results to senior management and the board of directors. Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process in collaboration with department heads. Monitor budget vs. actual performance, investigate variances, and recommend corrective actions. Develop long-term financial projections and evaluate the impact of business decisions on financial outcomes. Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and regulations. Establish, enforce, and monitor internal financial controls and policies to safeguard company assets. Manage audits, both internal and external, and implement improvements based on audit findings. Strategic Planning & Cost Optimization: Partner with the executive team to develop financial strategies that support business growth and profitability. Identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement across business units. Lead financial modeling for strategic initiatives such as mergers, acquisitions, and new market entry. Leadership & Team Development: Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of accounting staff, promoting a high-performance culture. Set clear objectives and performance standards, conduct performance evaluations, and provide coaching and mentorship. Foster cross-functional collaboration with other departments to support organizational goals. System Implementation & Process Improvement: Identify and implement accounting software and systems that enhance efficiency and accuracy. Streamline accounting processes, optimize workflows, and leverage technology to improve reporting and reduce closing timelines. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master's degree or MBA is often preferred. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent designation is highly desirable. 10+ years of experience in accounting, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role. Strong understanding of GAAP/IFRS, tax laws, and financial reporting regulations. Proven track record of managing audits, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Excellent leadership, analytical, and strategic planning skills. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders. Working Location: Pasay, Metro Manila, Philippines
