We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in managing the financial operations of the company, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and providing valuable insights to support decision-making processes.

Job Responsibilities: Prepare and analyze financial statements.Ensure accuracy, adherence to accounting principles, and compliance with AU regulatory requirements/GAAPOversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion of financial activities, reconciliations, and adjustments.Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Provide insights and recommendations to management for informed decision-making.Collaborate with the finance team to develop annual budgets and forecasts. Monitor actual performance against budgets, investigate variances, and provide explanations and recommendations.Ensure accurate and timely completion of tax filings, including income tax returns, sales tax returns, and other applicable AU regulatory requirements.Assist with external audits by providing necessary documentation, explanations, and supporting schedules. Address audit queries and recommendations for process improvements.Identify opportunities to streamline and automate financial processes. Implement changes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of financial operations.Performs other duties as may be assigned Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accountancy and a Certified Public AccountantProven track record with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in AU accounting and tax reportingIn-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and AU regulatory requirements.Experience in top 5 audit or accounting firms, and business process outsourcing industry is an advantageProficiency in Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, APS, Handisoft or equivalent Australian tax compliance software, and MS ExcelStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent attention to detail and accuracy
