Basic Function:
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing all warehouse operations to ensure the efficient and timely fulfillment and shipping of orders. This role involves coordinating the activities of warehouse staff, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring that all orders are processed, packed, and shipped accurately and on time. The Warehouse Supervisor plays a crucial role in supporting the company's online selling operations across major e-commerce platforms.
Job Responsibilities:
Warehouse Operations Management:
Oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient and effective processes.
Monitor and manage the receiving, storage, and distribution of products.
Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized, and safe at all times.
Order Fulfillment:
Ensure all orders are picked, packed, and shipped accurately and on time.
Coordinate with the shipping department to schedule and manage shipments.
Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to order fulfillment and shipping.
Inventory Management:
Maintain accurate inventory records using the warehouse management system (WMS).
Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
Manage stock levels to prevent overstocking or stockouts.
Staff Supervision and Training:
Supervise and lead a team of warehouse associates, including hiring, training, and performance management.
Schedule staff shifts and ensure adequate coverage for all warehouse operations.
Provide ongoing training and development to warehouse staff to enhance their skills and efficiency.
Process Improvement:
Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for warehouse activities.
Utilize warehouse management software to optimize warehouse operations.
Safety and Compliance:
Ensure all warehouse activities comply with health and safety regulations.
Conduct regular safety inspections and implement corrective actions as needed.
Promote a culture of safety among warehouse staff.
Reporting and Analysis:
Generate and analyze reports on warehouse performance, including order accuracy, fulfillment times, and inventory levels.
Provide regular updates to management on warehouse operations and performance.
Use data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Coordination with Other Departments:
Collaborate with procurement to ensure timely restocking of products.
Work with the sales and marketing teams to plan for promotional activities and high-demand periods.
Coordinate with IT to ensure the WMS and other systems are functioning properly.
Qualifications:
9 to 10 years experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or similar role in a logistics or e-commerce environment.
Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and order fulfillment processes.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Proficient in warehouse management software and MS Office.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse setting.
Background in supply chain management is an advantage.
