The Warehouse Lead will oversee the efficient operation of the warehouse and logistics activities, ensuring that all processes are followed correctly and that teams are working together to meet company goals. This senior supervisory role is responsible for coordinating daily activities, optimizing workflow, and ensuring that inventory management, shipping, receiving, and logistics processes run smoothly. The Warehouse Lead will report directly to the Operations Manager (or another higher authority), taking a leadership role in managing warehouse supervisors and staff.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee daily warehouse and logistics operations, including receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping.Lead, mentor, and coordinate warehouse supervisors and staff to ensure they meet performance goals.Collaborate with logistics teams to manage transportation schedules, route optimization, and timely deliveries to retail locations.Ensure that inventory is accurately tracked, properly stored, and regularly audited to maintain stock accuracy.Optimize warehouse and logistics workflows to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs.Maintain a safe and organized working environment, ensuring that all safety protocols and policies are strictly followed.Coordinate with other departments (e.g., merchandising, sales, and supply chain) to ensure smooth product flow and timely delivery.Troubleshoot and resolve any operational issues or delays, acting as a point of escalation for team members.Prepare and analyze operational reports to identify areas for improvement and suggest process enhancements.Assist in training new staff and conducting performance reviews for warehouse personnel.Ensure compliance with company policies, legal guidelines, and industry best practices. #### Qualifications: Proven experience in warehouse and logistics roles, preferably within the retail industry.Strong leadership and organizational skills with experience in supervising warehouse teams.Familiarity with inventory management systems and warehouse operations software (e.g., WMS).Understanding of logistics management, including transportation, routing, and supply chain coordination.Ability to analyze and improve processes to optimize efficiency and accuracy.Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a warehouse environment.Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines. Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field (preferred but not required).5+ years of experience in warehouse operations and logistics, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.Experience in the retail industry is a strong advantage.
