Job Summary: The Vice President of Legal and Administration is responsible for providing strategic leadership for the legal and administrative functions within the group of companies. This role includes managing legal risks, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and overseeing the administrative services that support the organization's operations.
Key Responsibilities: Legal: Provide legal advice and guidance to Management and Department Heads on all legal issues affecting the group of companies; Oversee the preparation, negotiation, and review of contracts, agreements, and other legal documents; Manage all legal complaints or cases, including working with external legal counsel as necessary; Ensure that the organization complies with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards; Develop and implement policies and procedures to mitigate legal risks; Participate in the development of business strategies, identifying legal implications; and ensuring alignment with local and national government and regulatory requirements; Attend and participate, whenever required, in business meetings, meeting with clients and contractors, and other meetings; Represent the respective company in engagements and activities requiring legal representation, expertise, and knowledge. Administrative: Oversee administrative functions, including the Human Resource Department; Closely coordinate with the Human Resource Department to ensure effective support for all departments within the group of companies; Act as a key point of contact for legal and administrative issues within the group of companies. Qualifications: Licensed to practice law in the Philippines; Juris Doctor (JD) or Bachelor of Laws degree from a reputable law school; Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the field of law with three (3) years of experience as a corporate lawyer or equivalent; Proven experience in managing legal and administrative functions at a high level; Experience in a group of companies is preferred.
