Responsibilities: Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring the organization adheres to all applicable regulatory requirements, such as those from central banks, local finance authorities, and other regulatory bodies. This includes managing risk associated with lending and collection processes, privacy, and data security.Operational Standards and Process Optimization: Developing and enforcing operational procedures to ensure consistent quality and efficiency across all areas, from loan origination to disbursement and collections. This may involve creating standards for client service, monitoring branch operations, and training staff to maintain consistent quality.Risk Management and Audits: Conducting periodic audits to identify, evaluate, and address risks associated with lending, credit assessments, and collections. This could involve both field and internal audits to ensure compliance with lending standards and to mitigate fraud or other operational risks.Product Quality and Customer Satisfaction: Working with product development and customer service teams to monitor the quality of microfinance products and ensure they meet clients' needs. This can include gathering and analyzing feedback, managing complaints, and implementing quality improvement initiatives.Data Analysis and Reporting: Overseeing data collection and analysis to ensure accurate reporting to stakeholders. QA heads in microfinance track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as loan repayment rates, customer satisfaction, and regulatory compliance metrics.Training and Capacity Building: Conducting training sessions to ensure that all team members understand and adhere to QA standards, focusing on lending processes, customer service, ethical practices, and other operational standards.Stakeholder Communication: Keeping stakeholders, including senior management and regulators, informed about QA activities, audit results, and compliance updates. This role often includes preparing detailed reports on quality metrics and presenting them during meetings or audits.
