About the Role As a VBA Developer, you'll be responsible for application development and support in a production environment, providing end-user automation solutions to the business that adds value and delivers benefit by releasing capacity, reducing risk exposure, improving user experience, and uplifting customer experience.
ResponsibilitiesCoding and Scripting: Writing and debugging VBA code to automate tasks in Microsoft Office applications (such as Excel, Word, Access, etc.) or other VBA-enabled software.Automation: Designing and developing macros, scripts, and procedures to automate repetitive tasks, increase efficiency, and improve data handling.Customization: Customizing applications through VBA to meet specific business requirements or user needs, such as creating custom forms, reports, and interfaces.Integration: Integrating VBA solutions with other applications or data sources, ensuring seamless operation and data exchange.Testing and Debugging: Testing VBA code for robustness, reliability, and performance; identifying and fixing bugs or issues in a timely manner.Documentation: Documenting VBA code and solutions for future reference, maintenance, and knowledge sharing within the team or organization.Support and Maintenance: Providing support to end-users or colleagues using VBA applications; maintaining and updating existing VBA solutions as needed.Collaboration: Collaborating with stakeholders, such as business analysts and users to understand requirements and translate them into VBA solutions.Adherence to Best Practices: Following SG Change coding standards, best practices, and guidelines for VBA development to ensure quality and maintainability of code.Continuous Learning: Staying updated with the latest VBA features, techniques, and trends; continuously improving skills and knowledge in VBA development.These responsibilities may vary depending on the specific role and organization but generally outline the core tasks expected from a VBA developer.

Work Hours: M-F, Dayshift schedules will be adhered to, Hybrid work set up post regularization
What will you bring?To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
An IT professional with experience in using business acumen to define/deliver technology-based solutions.A strong knowledge and understanding of the Scrum Methodology and Automation Governance.Intermediate to expert proficiency in Visual Basic for Applications (minimum 2 years' experience).Intermediate proficiency in SQL.Experience in supporting production solutions and end users.Knowledge on building .Net applications would be ideal.Knowledge on RPA Technologies preferably Automation Anywhere would be ideal.High proficiency in problem-solving, root cause analysis, defect management & resolution delivery.Proven experience in completing automation application documentation.Demonstrable openness to new ideas and innovation coupled with a desire to translate them into real business solutions.Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology preferred but not essential.You're not expected to have 100% of these skills.
