Job Summary:
We are seeking a Utility Worker to assist in the efficient operation of our facilities. The Utility Worker will perform a variety of tasks related to maintenance, cleanliness, and general upkeep of the premises. Responsibilities may include cleaning, minor repairs, waste management, and other duties as assigned. The ideal candidate will be proactive, reliable, and capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
-Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of designated areas, including but not limited to restrooms, common areas, and outdoor spaces.
-Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming.
-Empty trash and recycling bins regularly, ensuring proper disposal of waste in accordance with company policies and regulations.
-Assist with minor repairs and maintenance tasks as needed, including changing light bulbs, fixing leaks, and painting.
-Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and notify management when supplies need to be replenished.
-Follow safety protocols and procedures at all times to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
-Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to prioritize tasks and complete work efficiently.
-Respond to requests from staff or management for cleaning or maintenance assistance in a timely manner.
-Adhere to company policies and regulations regarding health, safety, and sanitation standards.
-Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications:
-High school diploma or equivalent.
-Previous experience in janitorial or maintenance work preferred but not required.
-Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
-Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.
-Physical stamina and ability to lift and carry heavy objects as needed.
-Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
-Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
-Flexibility to work non-standard hours, -including evenings, weekends, and holidays if necessary.
