User Experience/User Interface Designer

VERA Files is looking for a User Experience/User Interface Designer to be responsible for planning and implementing optimized user interface designs of the web application. Responsibilities include: Plan and implement new designs for VERA Files Fact Check's website. Work closely with Product Lead and Editorial Leads to understand their business goals and objectives. Develop technical and business requirements that deliver intuitive and user-centered solutions. Create prototypes for new product ideas. Test the product for intuitiveness and quality of experience. Participate in end-to-end product design by:
– Working with the product lead and audience development officers to understand audience needs and define opportunities through usability and empathy studies.
– Framing problems,determining insights, and defining visual designs to serve audience needs.
– Creating process and user flows, wireframes, journey maps, and interaction models, resulting in low to high fidelity prototypes. Other duties as assigned. At least 1 year of experience with UX and UI design Experience in designing progressive web applications or mobile applications is a plus Familiarity with design and prototyping tools. #J-18808-Ljbffr
