The role involves ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws, conducting tax research, and providing strategic tax planning advice. Additionally, the Senior Tax Accountant supports financial recordkeeping, reconciles discrepancies, prepares financial reports, and advises clients on tax-efficient strategies and financial performance.
Tax planning and preparation services for all business & individual clients, including but not limited to corporate and partnership tax returns, including the following sample schedules and forms: Schedules C, K-1; Forms 1065, 1120, 990.Review working papers and tax forms as prepared by other accounting staff members in preparation for release to clients, through a lens of compliance with all applicable tax regulations.Conduct research as may be required.Support the recording of financial transactions & maintaining of general ledgers; reconcile financial discrepancies.Prepare, analyze & explain balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other relevant reports.Perform analysis of all assets, liability, and operating activity for clients; recommend modifications as warranted.Forecast revenue, analyze profit margins, and make budget/financial recommendations.Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accountancy, accounting, finance, or a related field.Minimum of five (5) years of experience in U.S. corporate and business tax preparation (including federal and state returns).Must have a stable employment history.Must have experience in UltraTax.Hands-on experience with federal and state tax regulations, including filing taxes in Pennsylvania (state and locals).Meticulous attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in tax preparation and financial reporting.Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and perform tax research when needed.Clear and coherent in both written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax matters in simple terms to clients.Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.Why choose CONNEXT?
