US AUDIT SPECIALIST

Job Description:
We are looking for an Audit Senior Accountant who wants the opportunity to expand skills, assume direct responsibility for client matters and be an integral team member at our growing CPA firm.
In this position, you will take a lead role on all aspects of audit engagements, from planning to completion, to include supervision/mentoring of staff and building/maintaining relationships with clients.
Candidates will have the opportunity for long-term growth and bonus compensation based on their contributions and combination of individual & team efforts.
This position will work for our Audit department.
In this role you will:
Contribute to the client service team by producing quality work, quick turnaround, and attentive service.
Perform services within budgeted time by utilizing technical, time management, and organizational skills.
Draft various schedules, notes, opinions and comments for the audit report.
Monitor staff performance on jobs.
Perform/Oversee the reconciliation of client records to trial balance, which may include analytical procedures, and performs schedule computations of prepaid, accruals, property, equipment, and calculates depreciation expense.
Use the firm's software programs to automate the process from trial balance and financial statements.
Build good relationships with clients' staff to foster requests for additional services.
Actively contribute to and participate in firm projects and initiatives.
Perform other accounting, auditing, tax, and consulting duties as needed in engagements.
Applicants must possess the following:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field.
Minimum of three (3) years' experience of audit engagements.
Not-for-Profit and Governmental entities preferred.
CPA eligible required.
CPA preferred.
Knowledge of general accounting principles.
Proficient in use of computers.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Strong English written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
Team-oriented mindset providing customers with high quality work and excellent customer service.
Strong planning and organizational skills and attention to detail.
Experience with the following industries and audit types is a plus: Corporate, nonprofit, construction, single audit, government/Yellow Book, employee benefit plans.
Experience with ProSystems fx Engagement, SMART E-Practice, and PPC Tools is a plus.
Willing to work Onsite at Ortigas Center, Pasig City
