Job Purpose:
General Accounting Section Headadministers and maintains a variety of accounting and financial functions which includes the following: to ensure a systematic and accurate preparation and consolidation of Financial Statements; to ensure that an effective system of control governs the preparation, processing and payment of taxes and insurance premiums; to ensure that company's properties are accounted for and documented; to ensure proper safekeeping and filing of all pertinent documents. Duties and Responsibilities:
Reviews and posts journal vouchers relevant to taxes and licenses, insurance, fixed assets and non-trade transactions Prepares monthly financial statements Reviews documents submitted to BIR, SEC, PSE and other regulatory bodies Monitors BIR deadlines and other regulatory bodies Coordinates the department to comply with external audit requirements Closely works with external auditors in the review of Audited Financial Statements Oversees the preparations for the periodic appraisal and assessment of company properties conducted by an independent appraiser and the city assessors, respectively Supervises the functions of the record staff Prepares reports on other related tasks assigned by the Department Head. Qualifications:
