Overview Position UI Lead Job Code Direct Reporting Relationship (Title) UX/UI Manager Supervises (Titles) Division Cognitive Government Sector Authority Role Purpose We are seeking a highly skilled and creative UI Lead to supervise our User Interface (UI) Design team. The UI Lead, will be responsible for driving the visual and interactive elements of our digital products, ensuring that we deliver a cohesive and intuitive user experience across all platforms. The candidate will be leading design projects, mentoring a team of designers, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring digital experiences to life. Key Accountabilities & Activities Key Accountability Areas Key Activities Lead and mentor a team of UI designers in the creation of high-quality user interfaces for web, mobile, and other digital platforms. Collaborate with UX designers, product managers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure a cohesive visual style and user-centered design approach. Oversee the entire UI process from concept to delivery, including the creation of design guidelines, prototypes, and final visual assets. Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, and standards for the design team. Manage and conduct usability testing and gather feedback to enhance design quality. Stay updated with the latest design trends, techniques, and technologies, integrating innovative solutions into the design process. Ensure that all UI designs are optimized for usability, accessibility, and performance. Facilitate design discussions and lead creative brainstorming sessions to solve complex design challenges. Work closely with the development team to ensure accurate implementation of UI designs and provide guidance on visual design aspects. Manage the evolution of the design system, ensuring it adapts to user needs, incorporates new design trends, and integrates with emerging technologies. Oversee the development and maintenance of a comprehensive design system, including component libraries and style guides, to streamline design processes and maintain consistency at scale. Take a user-centered design approach and rapidly test and iterate your designs. Lead consultants on projects around these activities Design future of customer feedback for NEOM's digital government (NPS / CSAT / VOC) Cocreate customer experience vision for NEOM Digital Government Lead the overall UI-cohesion of solutions. Design solutions for prioritized challenges Create prototypes for solutions and facilitate and engage in design sprints. Aid in the preselection of any collaboration partners (external suppliers) Help instill a customer centric culture within NEOM Digital Government and beyond. Run user experience capability building trainings for Digital Government employees. Conduct any activity needed to cover the UX/UI and product management including but not limited to: user research, UX design, UI design, visual design and service design. Qualifications / Requirements Knowledge and Experience Proven communication skills, problem-solving skills, proficiency in programming languages and data structures, and knowledge of integration best practices are critical to successful performance in this role Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment Strong knowledge in designing user interfaces. Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws Proven leadership experience Education and Certifications Bachelor's degree in design, Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field. Minimum of 6 years of experience in UI design with a strong portfolio showcasing previous projects. Ability to thrive in a challenging, fast-paced, creative workplace and to deliver quality design at a high volume in a tight timeframe. Strong understanding of UI design principles, patterns, and best practices. Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, InVision, etc. Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction and an eye for detail. Experience in creating responsive designs for web and mobile. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to translate design solutions into understandable prototypes. Proficient in the formal elements of design, including typography, layout, balance, pro- portion, rhythm, emphasis, and unity. Experience working alongside with multidisciplinary design teams
